Memorial Day kicks off the summer season at Smith Lake. The lake is full from recent rains and will be busy with boaters, jet skiers, kayakers and night fishermen. Honeysuckle and magnolia fragrances permeate the air. Daytime temperatures are climbing into the 80's and swimmers are venturing into the water.
